Ollie’s All Stars ✨

Ollie's All Stars are hoping to raise some serious cash for The Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal, in honour of our shining star, Oliver Moore. 

Ollie spent his 19 days of life in the RCH Butterfly Ward (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) after being born at 32 weeks gestation, weighing a teeny tiny 1.066kg due to Intra Uterine Growth Restriction (IUGR). 

Very soon after Ollie was born, he was diagnosed with a tracheo-oesophageal fistula (TOF) with oesophageal atresia (OA) as well as a ventricular septal defect (VSD). Ollie was urgently transferred to the RCH NICU where he had emergency surgery right there on the ward. Due to Ollie's prematurity and size, he suffered a tension pneumothorax during the operation. 

While the medical team weren't sure if Ollie would survive the night, Ollie fought hard for an incredible 19 days. We really believe Ollie did this so we could get to know him in every single way, and show him just how much we love him.  

The kindness, care and support from the multidisciplinary NICU team was second to none. Not only was the NICU team Ollie's second family, but they were Michelle & Steve's second family too. 

Ollie's All Stars want to give back to this incredible health service, in the hope that we can help make a difference. Our hope is to be able to help even one baby or child, and stop one family having to go home without their son or daughter.

One thing we know for sure, is that all Ollie knew was love. We have heard many times from many people, that Oliver knew more love in his short 19 days than most of us will ever get the chance to experience in our life times.

Everything we do now, we do for our beautiful baby boy, Oliver. 

We love you more than all the stars in the sky and sand on the beaches, Ollie.
